THE NEW 2022 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER
it is official, the Outlander is being completely re-designed in a few months! The biggest SUV in the Mitsubishi line up is getting an all-new body style. Presented as a 2021 model year vehicle for a while, it will now be released as a 2022 model year vehicle. Completely Re-Designed
Wanting to re-energize it's vehicle line up for Canada, Mitsubishi Motors will proceed with a massive re-vamp of it's vehicle range for 2021-2022. The Outlander is part of the plan, with a much more futuristic style directly inspired by the Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer Concept. unveiled at the Geneva Auto Salson (Switzerland in 2019.)

Like all international automakers, one of the first steps in vehicle development is full-size on-road prototype testing, therefore; manufacturing habitually tests their upcoming new vehicles heavily camouflaged so as to not reveal new styling cues.

A Very Futuristic Interior?
Still basing ourselves on the interior of the Endelberg Tourer concept, the 2022 model could offer a quite futuristic interior layout and design. The Outlander, will potentially, benefit from a larger infotainment screen, a heavily revised center console and in general, a much more upscale level of finish than the outgoing model.

Release Date For The 2022 Outlander?
In a press release dated July 2020, Mitsubishi Canada anticipated a release of the new Outlander for spring 2021. As soon as it is released, it will adorn the 2022 model year, which leads us to believe that there will not be a 2021 model year in the Outlander.
Pricing For The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?
At the current time, no pricing information has been released in regards to pricing by Mitsubishi. We will have to be patient for a little while longer to get this information in regards to this latest-generation SUV.
Will There Be As Many Changes To The 2021 Outlander PHEV?
As for the plug in hybrid version, the Outlander PHEV will have the 2021 model performance enhancements, notably on its 100% electric range.
We will undoubtedly have to wait until 2022 to see the same drastic changes applied to the Outlander PHEV.
Will The 2022 Outlander Have 7 Seats?
Based on certain sources, it seems that indeed the gasoline powered version of the Outlander will retain its current 7-seater configuration in terms of size. The new version of the Outlander will certainly be much more imposing that the current versions.
